Course attendance is verified by instructors during the first week of the course.
- If a student fails to attend the first in-person or In*Sync class, the instructor will report them as a “not attending.”
- For online or blended courses, students must log in within the first five days of the class; otherwise, they will be reported as a “not attending” by the instructor. If a student is reported as a “not attending,” they will be dropped from the course.
- Logging in to an online or blended course is considered attendance, even if the student has not submitted any assignments or participated in other aspects of the course.
If a course is dropped in error, the student should contact both the instructor and the Registrar’s Office immediately.
Students must meet the stated requirements for attendance or participation expected with the class delivery format. If class participation policies are not followed, the student may receive a grade reduction in accordance with the instructor’s policy.
