Non-Degree students are those taking classes who have not been accepted to the University and are not enrolled in a degree program. Non-degree seeking students do NOT apply through Admission. However, such students must apply and be accepted through the Registrar’s Office by completing the non-degree student pre-registration form available through the Registrar’s Office. Required course prerequisites must be met prior to registration.
Non-degree seeking undergraduate students may take up to 13 hours before obtaining formal admission to the University, and are limited to two courses (six or seven credit hours) per semester or during the entire summer session until reaching the 13 credit hour limit. Non-degree seeking transfer students in good standing from an accredited college or university may take their 13 credit hours in one semester or an entire summer session.
Non-degree seeking graduate students may earn a maximum of nine semester credit hours under a non-degree seeking status.
